It is an ecological reserve of approximately 155,000 hectares, covered by dunes, washed by the sea and cut by rivers. Tropical rains feed the region’s water tables, bringing out the most beautiful lagoons of pure, crystalline waters. This ecological paradise is inhabited by a few semi-isolated families in perennial oases in the middle of the desert, living basically from fishing, breeding and cultivating for their livelihood. This scenario of charm will be our shelter during this journey. In the course of seven days, we will cross the region from north to south, walking on the sands of the dunes, bathing in their abundant waters and camping in the light of the moon and stars.
